OUR TEAM


Our team consists of an administrative director and an established group of teachers on a permanent contract, plus a number of occasional staff-members at particularly busy times.

Our teachers are all native Italian speakers with a university degree, qualified to teach Italian as a foreign language. They all have years of experience in the field, were trained by Centro Koiné of Florence, whose didactic methodology Arca shares, and chosen for their professional and communicative skills.

I'm Laura and I'm looking forward to meeting you! I've been teaching Italian at Arca for quite a long time and I also handle the marketing side: I'm responsible for contacting clients, advertising, promotional packages, basically anything to do with the commercial side of the courses.

Ciao, my name's Serena. When you come into the school, you'll see me at my desk in the reception. I don't teach, as I'm the administrative director. I organize courses, see to enrolments and take payments. I also look after accommodation and other services.

I'm Giovanni, pleased to meet you! I've been an Italian teacher with Arca for a number of years and I also handle part of the cultural activities. My field is the cinema, so we'll watch some good films together, both old and new, and discover the works of some of Italy's best film-makers.

I'm Cinzia, pleased to meet you! I've been the director of Arca since 2003, and have been working here for 9 years. My special field of expertise is preparing students for Italian university and I'm particularly interested in literature and anthropology. If you have any queries about the courses or your accommodation, you'll find me in the office in the afternoons.

Ciao, I'm Mauro and I've been teaching at Arca for many years. I'm concerned with cultural and social activities, and I also plan the courses of business Italian. I'm keen on theatre and cooking, and you can find out more about Italian cultural aspects such as gastronomy, current affairs and journalism from me.

Ciao, my name's Giulia and I've been teaching at this school for a number of years. I'm the course-coordinator and organizer of cultural and social activities. I'll be here to welcome you when you arrive, and I'll use my knowledge of Art history to take you round the town and help you discover its beauty and its treasures. We'll also have a good time together and enjoy the pleasures of the local cuisine.
