ORDINARY GROUP COURSES
LONG TERM COURSES
A 20-hour course, Monday to Friday from 9 am to 1 pm. The classes are generally small (3-12 students), allowing teachers to get to know their pupils individually and give them their personal attention. This helps us to cater closely for students’ individual needs as well as facilitating friendly relations.
Ordinary courses have a mid-morning break during which everyone goes to a coffee-bar together: a chance to have a chat and get to know each other better. Talking Italian freely is a good way to consolidate what you’ve learnt, especially in an Italian bar over a warm cappuccino!
Please note: For levels C1 and C2 please contact the school before enrolling because we may not have enough students to form higher level groups. If there are fewer than 3 students, we can organise a smaller group, adapting the course hours. We are very careful in organizing classes according to the level and we do our best to meet the needs of the students.
!!! If there is a national or local holiday during your course, Arca will be closed for that day and will organize an additional cultural activity (free of charge).

Holidays during a Long Term Course
A student enrolled on a long term course has the opportunity to “take” a holiday period in addition to those already established by the school and already agreed at enrolment as follows:
- student attending for 12 weeks = 3 weeks holiday
- student attending for 16 weeks = 4 weeks holiday
- student attending for 24 weeks = 5 weeks holiday
- student attending for 48 weeks = 6 weeks holiday
The weeks of holiday taken will be added at the end of the course.
! If the course is linked to a visa it will not be possible to take any holiday periods other than those already indicated on the school certificate of enrolment and in this case absences cannot be made up.
In all cases the student must send a written request by e-mail to : info@arca-bologna.com and italiancourses@arca-bologna.com at least two weeks before the required date.
In the event of unjustified absences, lessons will be charged.
